Having a simple stylish Thanksgiving table to enjoy is part of creating an atmosphere for a warm gathering. It is a particularly special time that reminds us to give thanks with a grateful heart.

Today, I am excited to be part of a blog hop with fellow creators for autumn and Thanksgiving inspiration! Make sure to check them out – always feel free to follow them too. See the list below!! We all appreciate it. If you haven’t signed up to follow me, I would love it if you would!

elements for simple stylish thanksgiving table

The first steps for the table is to chose what tablecloth and which dishes to use.

I decided against using the full Thanksgiving set. Instead I used the vintage gold trimmed china and a turkey salad plate plus a Friendly Village salad plate. I was going for simple and easy!

Though there is gold edging and some of the fruits in the dinner plates, it is not in the others. The colors looked dull against th gold one.

The deep red burgundy looked much better. Those extra dishes don’t match the Thanksgiving set exactly; they are ones I have picked up over time from Home Goods.

simple stylish centerpiece

Using what I have was important for me this year and I didn’t want to use any velvet pumpkins. Simple but stylish was my aim. My goal was to help create a table for a warm gathering for family.

I added a pair of tall brass candlesticks with deep red burgundy candles. They match my buffet fall vignette.

Next, I headed to my closet where my scarves are.

One of my pretty silk woven scarves with rich colors and patterns for autumn was going to work as a stylish base for the centerpiece. The pattern resembles leaves and the gold fringe is just a right touch for style. The color of the scarf and tablecloth does does change depending on the light from the window. In the morning light, it looked purple.

Scarves are excellent affordable options for your table decorations. The fabric should be soft snd easy to push around to add depth and ‘ruffles’ for visual interest.

Mini pumpkins are easily arranged around the candlesticks and down the scarf to complete the fall centerpiece.

finishing the simple stylish thanksgiving table

The silver serving pieces are spread out ready for the serving bowls.

The soft yellow napkins are squares folded over 4 times and pulled through my wooden napkins rings.

Family silver and crystal glasses are always pretty.

I used the vintage gold trimmed white dinner plates with the turkey salad plate for a stylish look. Both are pure white with different designs that complement each other. I like how the gold fringe of the scarf is a great accent.

This plate stack would also look good with plain white plates. Salad or dessert plates with a season designs are another affordable option.

simple stylish table for a warm gathering

Your simple stylish table for a warm gathering is definitely part of planning for that special meal for everyone to enjoy. And remember to give thanks with a grateful heart.

Absolutely beautiful, I love your china. I have some down time waiting for our air duct cleaner to finish and I’ve been using it to plan for thanksgiving! I love how incredible your simple thanksgiving turned out, it’s a good reminder that I don’t have to go all out to have a great meal. Thank you for the inspiration!

I love these colors, not so traditional. Great ideas for using scarves – I have in the past, then wished I still some I had donated.

What a genius idea to use a scarf for your table! I’ve never thought of that, and I have a number of scarves that would work. This is such a beautiful and welcoming table!
