Vanilla Crisps

Simple to make yummy cookie you don't have to roll out!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter option: margarine; use half shortening
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup white flour

Equipment

  • hand or stand mixer
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • middle size mixing bowl
  • 1 or 2 cookie sheets
  • cooling rack
  • scraper
  • spatula I like the small cookie sized ones the best!
  • parchment paper or silcone baking sheet optional

Method
 

  1. Adaptations: I only use butter (no shortening) for most cookie recipes. The option for these cookies is 1/2 cup margerine or butter and 1/2 cup shortening as shown in the recipe photo.
  2. Preheat over to 375 degrees
  3. In middle size bowl.mix well butter, suga, salt and vanilla until smooth
  4. Add 2 eggs and blend in
  5. Stir in flour a little at a time, strring before adding more. Scrape the bowl sides often
  6. Roll about 1/2 teaspoon of dough into even size balls or drop on ungreased baking sheet in rows. Gently flatten
  7. Gently flatten for even baking.
  8. Decorate as desired
  9. Bake at 375 degrees preheated oven for 8-10 minutes
  10. Cool on cooling rack
