Baking at Christmas time is happening in our kitchen. What bakers make can be intricate and splendid. In my opinion, very baker needs a few easy to make recipes in their holiday collections.
This is one of Meg’s recipes. She often comes over to bake, making our kitchen smell wonderful!
By the way, there is not a photo of the S’mores cookie prettily arranged on a platter. Why? None of them made it to the platter!!
Nine were made and nine adults and grandkids were here. Gone!
Baking splendid S’mores Cookies that are easy
I don’t know where Meg found this recipe. I do know it is easy alland the grandkids love being part of the baking team!
What could be better that working together to decorate the tree with loved ones and then bake fresh cookies?
Christmas tree Decorating then Bake cookies
Do you have cookies when you decorate? Do you have Christmas music playing with sing alongs?
Meg and 2 of the nieces were our elves this year.
The living room was rearranged and the rug was removed. Bins of lights and ornaments were brought down from the attic.
After the tree was set it up and the most important step of fluffing completed, the lights were added.
Then, Meg and the nieces headed to the kitchen to made the S’mores cookies.
S’mores Cookie ingedients
Why are these favorite cookies so easy to make?
A premade cookie dough! Yes, a tub of Toll House cookie dough.
In the past I would have balked at using this or even slice and bake. My desire to bake often has decreased. When you can’t eat sweets including cookies, you may start to use the Toll House tubs of cookie dough like I do. Plus, It is a time saver. Let’s face it. These days, I do use pre-prepped foods.
The other S’mores cookie ingredients included are the ones you need to make s’mores. Graham crackers, large marshmallows and chocolate bar pieces like Hershey’s.

Fluffy Hot out of the oven S’mores Cookie
Do want the gooey marshmallow oozing out of the top before it deflates?
Or one with a little crust on your marshmallow?
I have it on good authority, both are delicious. And if the marshmallow deflates and the the cookie is totally cool, it is still delicious!
Hope this fun to make and that it will be a big hit with your family and friends!
Have a merry and bright week!
