La Connor, WA Tulip Farms

It was a rainy day. The girls were out and about.

Jim called me to go to lunch together. I was out doing errands and missed the call.  We had not been out by ourselves in a while.

So when we found ourselves facing an evening without kids, I asked him to go to dinner.  He was not super enthusiastic. The Yankees were playing tonight.  I said half teasing, “Well if you can’t be a bit more thrilled we can just stay home.”

So he jumped up, threw his arms in the air and yelled, “Yipee.”

Breakfast with Meg & family and friends

We went to dinner to the first place where the owner’s mom was so sorry to tell us they were full and had a long wait.  It looked like a good place.  the next place was on the other corner.  We have been there before.  tonight they were swimming unsuccessfully to wait on their full, as in no tables free, restaurant.  Then there were 2 tables freed up. Folks at 2 other tables paid and were leaving. The mom with her daughter ahead of us were told, the chef was behind so they were not seating at the time.  I said to Jim. “My brother who has run restaurants would have “croaked”!”  Did they not have table?  Complimentary popcorn?

I don’t know if she was the owner or his wife or sister, but if …well, we left and ended up at Panera.  I had to hunt someone to wipe our table down.  They were overwhelmed with empty coffee giant dispensers and orders.  The manager was make sandwiches as fast as his staff.

Guess next time we’ll call first.

Ice cream for breakfast at Snowgoose Farm Stand

And the question so many of us have.   Besides why do we have ice cream for breakfast more often?

How is it we have not prepared a meal at home since breakfast and the dishwasher has been run there is a counter full of dirty dishes?

    Such pretty pictures!!!

I love Panera. Their broccoli cheddar soup is my favorite. Glad you had a nice day out., and ice-cream for breakfast – sounds perfect!
