Early Saturday morning, Jim slipped out for the Saturday morning men’s Bible study.
I was just getting up expecting some quiet before the grandkids came. They were coming for the day so their parents could go to a parent conference and dinner.
Little did I know what magnificent sight was in store for me!
Rush to the Front porch
My phone rang. I thought Jim had forgotten something.
No, that wasn’t it.
He told me to look at the window facing the football field for the magnificent sight. Or better yet, go to the front porch.
I rushed down. How quickly these sky sights can disappear!
He was right.
Golden Full Moon hanging in the sky
The full golden moon was hanging just about the tree line. Just before dawn.
I don’t know the science behind the golden moon that sometimes shows up early before dawn mornings.
I do know about the phases of the moon. The wonder of creation can just bowl me away with its awe inspiring sights.
The night before, the full bright white moon was so bright and high in the sky. The shining light was so bright that shadows from the window frames were cast across the carpet.
Even if I had an amazing camera set up, I would have missed this early morning moon sighting. So I used my iPhone.
I was glad it was just cool as I pulled on my oversized shirt on the front porch. Yes! I made it in time!
Peach was so confused as I opened the front door she only lifted her head up from her sleeping spot on the couch.
Watching ‘Till daylight
Daylight was coming. The smaller bright light is from the high school football field lights.

It is definitely fall. The morning was cool and heavy with dew. The leaves are starting to turn. Finally.

I’m no poet but the silent beauty the morning stopped me! Just to take in the beauty with awe.

I missed it – seems like the clouds choose to show up at bad times.
I’m so glad it’s fall! Though the temperature fluctuates at my house, there’s a crispness in the air and beauty in the colorful leaves falling from the trees. Fall is my favorite!
